The American Spirit | THE VIRAL Journal, Part 7

After yesterdays entry, I’m pleased to announce another short-term fix to supply shortages.

While so many fortune-pick-a-number companies have closed their offices to protect the health of their employees and stop the spread of Covid-19, they continue to better our situation.  In true American spirit these private sector businesses, large and small, have offered their help:

Pharmaceutical Professionals:

Vaccines and treatments are being developed by BioNTech SE, Pfizer Inc., Gilead Sciences Inc., Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi, Roche Holding AG, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Vir Biotechnology Inc., Heat Biologics Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Moderna Inc., Novavax Inc. and Vaxart Inc.

Hand Sanitizers:

Many US companies that manufacture alcohol have converted their factories to make hand sanitizer to be used by US hospitals such as:  Villax, Eight Oaks Farm Distillery (PA). Greenhook Ginsmiths (NY), Kings County Distillery (NY), Brovo Spirits (WA). Federal red-tape was cut by the FDA so startups could immediately be produced. 

Facemasks:

Adapted their businesses to make facemasks: NY designer Nancy Sinoway, H&M and Zara to luxury firms LVMH, Kering, and Prada, Parkdale, Fruit of the Loom an Hanesbrands, Beverly Knits, American Giant,  American Apparel and AST Sportwear to name a few!

Respirators:

The following company have joined the forces to make much needed respirators.  They are used to get oxygen to lungs and tissues of those suffering from the Coronavirus:

Medtronic, General Motors (who has closed their factories due to the virus and reopened to serve our country), Telsa, Bloom Energy, Ford, 3M and GE Healthcare, and Vauxhall. 

Sourcing Supplies and Technology:   Apple, Inc, Alibaba, Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Roche (testing kits) and so many more companies fighting this battle of Corona Virus: 

THANK YOU TO THE US TRUCK DRIVERS WHO DELIVER FOOD TO GROCERY STORES AND SHIP THESE MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO OUR HOSPITALS!
